SEMLA FLAGS FINALS 2025
Whilst the SEMLA Flags senior finals are usually a predictable battle between Spencer and Hampstead, the intermediate and minor flags finals are anyone’s for the taking. But this year saw a change in the normal setup when former National Club Champions Hampstead didn’t make it to the final game at Surrey Sports Park. In their place were Camden, a popular club known more for their active social scene than for winning trophies, but nonetheless proved that a lacrosse club can toe the line between elite performance and top quality fun. In fact, two Camden teams donned their green and gold kit on finals day, with Camden men’s 2s battling against Leicester City in the minor flags game. Having returned under the Walcountians name for the first time this season, a team made up of players from East Grinstead and Blues went unbeaten in ten games to make it to the intermediate flags finals. Their opponents were Bristol who beat Reading to secure their spot in the final. As the sun shone on the 3G turf, three games were won and lost and history was made at the 2025 SEMLA Flags Finals.
